Terms of Service

This English text is provided for convenience. The Japanese version is the original and the only legally binding one; if the two differ, the Japanese version prevails.

Article 1 (Scope)

These terms set out the conditions for using "SOKI" (the "Service"), provided by Mindseed Laboratory ("we", "us").

You agree to these terms as a condition of using the Service.

Article 2 (What the Service is)

The Service stores statements of fact about you (each an "observation") and supplies them to the AI services you have authorised.

The Service itself has no chat screen. Using it requires a separate contract with an AI service (Claude, ChatGPT and so on). Those fees are not included in the Service's fees.

Article 3 (Registration)

An applicant registers by the method we specify.

We may decline a registration where:

· false information has been given;

· the application comes from someone who has previously breached these terms;

· we otherwise judge the application to be inappropriate.

Article 4 (Free period and fees)

· The Service is free for 15 days from the date of registration.

· Even if you register payment details during the free period, billing begins only after the free period ends.

· If payment cannot be confirmed after the free period, reading of memories is suspended.

· Memories are not deleted while suspended. Resuming payment resumes use as it was.

· Fees and payment methods are set out in the notice under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions and on the pricing page.

Article 5 (Term and automatic renewal)

The term is one month or one year and renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel.

The fee in force at the time is charged automatically on each renewal.

Article 6 (Cancellation and closing your account)

· You can cancel at any time from the dashboard. After cancelling you may keep using the Service until the end of the period already paid for.

· We do not give pro-rata refunds for cancelling part-way through a month or a year.

· Closing your account also cancels the subscription.

· Your account can be restored for six months after closing. After six months the information is deleted.

Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)

You must not:

· enter sensitive personal information about anyone other than yourself (health, beliefs and the like);

· enter the real name of anyone other than yourself without that person's consent;

· act unlawfully or contrary to public order and morals;

· interfere with the operation of the Service, gain unauthorised access, or place excessive load on it;

· transfer or lend your account to a third party;

· copy or resell the Service.

Article 8 (About the content of memories)

We do not warrant that what has been recorded is accurate.

A memory carries a confidence (a weight) that decays over time. This imitates the way human memory behaves, and older information may therefore be presented.

Even where an AI's answer is based on a memory, please confirm the facts yourself before any decision that matters.

Article 9 (Changes to, and suspension of, the Service)

We may change the content of the Service, or suspend it, without prior notice.

The same applies where we suspend it because of equipment failure, maintenance, natural disaster or other unavoidable cause.

Article 10 (Ending the Service)

We may end the Service. If we do, we will give notice at least three months beforehand and allow a period in which you can export your memories.

Article 11 (Limitation of liability)

· We are not liable for loss arising from use of the Service except where we have acted intentionally or with gross negligence.

· Where we are liable, our liability is limited to the fees received from that user over the preceding twelve months.

· We are not responsible for how a connected AI service behaves, or for the content of its answers.

· We are not responsible for a user deleting memories, or for the outcome of decisions made on the basis of memories.

Article 12 (Changes to these terms)

We may change these terms. Where a change is significant, we will give notice within the Service. Continuing to use the Service after that notice is taken as agreement to the change.

Article 13 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

These terms are governed by the law of Japan. The Wakayama District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of first instance over any dispute concerning the Service.
