How to connect — ChatGPT (desktop app)
All of the setup is one time only. We will not ask you to do anything after that.
First — SOKI cannot be used alongside the AI's own memory.
Please turn off the memory feature in the AI you use. If it stays on, the AI writes what you said into its own store, and nothing reaches SOKI. It does this silently, so it looks as though everything is working. It is not strictly required for Claude, but two stores means two places to look, so off is recommended.
https://mcp.kitemir.jp/mcpWith the desktop app you just paste the URL. No developer mode, no app creation — those options are not in the app's settings at all.
Steps (3)
- Settings → Plugins → the MCP tab → Add, top right
- Paste the URL above into the URL field and press Save The bearer token, header and environment variable fields can all be left empty
- mcp-soki then appears in the MCP tab. Check that its switch is on.
Custom instructions and memory
These two are account settings. If you already did them in the browser version, there is nothing more to do. Otherwise go to Settings → Personalization, paste the line below, and turn Memory off.
At the start of every conversation, call SOKI's profile_get. Record facts about me with SOKI's memory_observe, not in your own memory.⚠️ Without this line, the AI never calls SOKI. You paste it once. After that just talk as usual; we will not ask you to do anything else.
When you connect, you will be asked to sign in with the same account you use for SOKI. A connected AI can be disconnected at any time.
